A new domestic abuse service in the Scottish Borders, "LetSBsafe" is available to give emotional and practical support to people who are experiencing, or who have experienced, domestic abuse and need time, space and understanding to help them to make informed choices about their situation.
Project workers are fully experienced in supporting people and work on a safety first principle, based on the needs of victims and their children.
The service is provided by Victim Support Scottish Borders from its Galashiels office. It covers the whole of the Scottish Borders, and project workers will arrange contact with people at times and places that are convenient and safe for them.
Anyone aged over 18 who is experiencing domestic abuse – whether or not they are still in the abusive relationship – can get support.
The service is available Monday to Friday and is free and confidential. Contact will only be with the client’s consent and when it is safe to do so.
